Nick Pope
We need to go all out in the summer to sign this lad.

No, we are not being linked with him. Yes, I started this out of boredom. But I know our DOF Jack Sullivan reads this board, and he'll listen to me.

Why would he join us from Burnley? MONEY.

£15mil bid in the summer will do it, we get a solid, young, excellent English goalkeeper for the next decade, they get Heaton back in goal, Pope comes to the beautiful south

Thanks for reading. Happy Easter.

As supporters we have to wait for the board to release a plume of either black smoke or white smoke. Only then will we know he will sign for us

Eerie, a wise move, perhaps.

Sullivan spending £15m on a keeper? hahaha

Earlier this season Pope twice thwarted Jesus.

Re: Nick Pope
Miike, I'm hoping that they have realised they HAVE to spend proper dough this summer, it's the only chance they have of mending the situation.

Re: Nick Pope
true, they should spend but I think it will be more funding purchases via sales and keeping any excess left after the wages have been calculated. that seems to be the model now and is great for them

Re: Nick Pope
It will be sell before we buy without a doubt.
Our net spend will always be laughable under these pair of cunts.
They have no intention of serious investment, never have ,never will.

Re: Nick Pope
I'm not too keen on buying someone's reserve GOALTENDER see as that's all we seem to do.

They're probably out of our price range, but I can't see any of the bigger Premier League teams going for Butland or Forster, so maybe we could be in for a should of one of those two if Stoke or Southampton get relegated?

Re: Nick Pope
If we stay up it will have been another squeaky bum time for owners and fans. The owners need the club to be relatively safe in the PL to milk it and see their assets’s value grow. Surely they will spend bigger next season rather than run the risk of relegation.

To carry on in the future as they do now is madness.

We need to spend upwards of GBP75m this summer, or am I being conservative?

Re: Nick Pope
Not Forster. He's gone, finished. Why do you think Alex McCarthy is keeping him out at the moment?

There is no chance of us signing Butland, he'd cost upwards of £30mil anyway, and I don't rate Forster that much, and he has been dropped a couple of times.

Have a look at Pope's STATS... even though he is playing behind a better defence, he doesn't make mistakes, and he catches more than any other keeper in the league.

Re: Nick Pope
That's a good shout Eerie.
I think he's technically excellent, less showy than Butland who has a touch of arrogance about him sometimes unjustified.
I had never seen Pope before he came into Burnley's first team and I can't remember him being at fault at all.
